In-side Cats ONLY
An Inside Cat is a cat that is totally comfortable .. possibly feels save because of it's past treatment .. could be just a cat that loves being with people and is happy to curl up on your lap and snuggle up on your bed at night.
This cat would be house-trained and use the litter tray only .. never wanting to venture past the door .. to put this cat outside would be simply torture.
A cat like this would possibly run and not be seen again as these cats are so afraid of what lies beyond.

Inside/Outside Cats
An Inside/Outside Cat is a cat that likes to come in the home when they want to and also go outside to lay in the sun and explore the gardens.
Most inside/outside cats would be house-trained and use the litter tray but if possible go out to the garden to go to the toilet.
All cats should be bought inside of a night for their own safety .. most will want to sleep inside and have a cuddle and get some lovin'.
They usually like to come and go at will but they are all different and you would probably train your cat when it is time to come in and go out.
Please remember there is backup support from the SOS Cats Team .. we will always be here to help when ever possible including advice or accepting the cats back if it does not work out.

Barn/Farm Cats
Then there are the kittens that grow into adulthood never ever knowing humans at all .. these cats will never or very rarely fit into our domestic environment .. they hide and only come out to eat when they know they can not be seen.
Most of these cats will only ever be happy as farm/stations/property cats where they live in the safety of a barn/shed.
The owner leaves food out and sits for a while so the cat/s can see there is no danger from their new owners .. but still the cats will wait for them to leave and then venture out to eat.
These cats do settle down eventually but will most likely never let you touch them .. they are just so very contented to have a space of their own to catch rats and mice or what ever it is you may need them for.
Or maybe you are just like me and have the room and want to save a poor animal that needs you but will never really know it.
